TJ's Mexican Bar and Restaurant at Kuta, Bali

TJ's Mexican Restaurant (S8 43.265 E115 10.432) is locate at Poppies Lane 1, Kuta - Bali. The restaurant was established since 1984. We chose this restaurant for our dinner was from the fellow bloggers post...
After the Kopi Luwak, we went to place our ordered (Smoke Duck) at Bebek Bengil Restaurant for tomorrow night dinner, follow by this Mexican restaurant at Kuta. The journey took 2 hours and 30 minutes.

To reach the restaurant, we need to walked from the Kuta Beach road into the Poppies Lane 1 because of it's not passable for car. The walking journey took about 15-20 minutes...the lane was full of motorcycles...

The restaurant was almost full while we stepped in, luckily...there was left only One table cater for 8 persons...
I like the nice and cozy ambience of the restaurant. Most of the customers were caucasian...

We placed our order immediately because we were starving!

We were not quite understand the dishes on their menu, after all...this was our First time ordering Mexican Food! :)

The order :-

Fijitas Beef - Marinated pieces of beef, grilled with mild green and red peppers and onions. Serve with soft flour tortillas and condiment plate of soured cream, chopped tomato, guacamole and chopped onion.

I had the Tosradas Chicken - Delicious!

Camarones Escorpio - Scorpion cut prawns in a creole sauce served on a bed of savory rice.

Beside the above dishes, we also ordered the : Small Aqua, Mexican Nasi Campur, Tacds Fish, Pescado Veracruz and 5 bottles of Bintang beer. (No photos taken for other dishes because I'm too slow to snap! Haha!)

We were dining at the garden area, I like the environment very much! Foods all were Delicious and Tasty! I love the Mexican foods! (But the portion was too much until most of us cannot finish all!)


The Damage :- rp.538,200.00 (MYR195.00 / USD60.00) for 6 adults and 2 children. (That was about MYR28.00 per person) Seems reasonable to me...

You must try this TJ's Mexican Restaurant if you stay nearby the Poppies Lane 1 at Kuta!

BAS Coffee Farm at Bali, Indonesia

BAS (Buana Amertha Sari) Coffee Farm (S8 22.237 E115 20.415) is located at Jalan Tirta of Bali Island.
It was raining while we were in the farm, too bad I can't snap some surrounding photos...

The purpose we visited the farm was because of the Famous Luwak Coffee or Civet Coffee.  
"The coffee is produced mainly on the islands of Sumatra, Java, Bali and Sulawesi  in the Indonesian Archipelago, and also in the Philippines  (where the product is called motit coffee in the Cordillera and kape alamid in Tagalog areas) and also in East Timor (where it is called kafé-laku). Weasel coffee is a loose English translation of its name cà phê Chồn in Vietnam, where popular, chemically simulated versions are also produced." Source from Wiki.

Again, the cafe area are built on the hill, scenic view and good area to enjoy your coffee.

There are plenty of small hut like this, all are built on the hill side...

We ordered 2 pots of Luwak Coffee (Civet Coffee) and they provided 5 different type of drinks for Free! They were : Bali Coffee, Ginseng Coffee, Hot cocoa, Ginger Tea and Lemon Grass Tea.

Luwak Coffee. It was about 2 cups for 1 pot rp30,000.00 - (MYR10.80/USD3.20)

The Luwak coffee had a nice aroma, same as the other drinks. But I prefer the Luwak Coffee.
It was kind of relax while having our coffee here. The weather was cooling because it situated at about 813 meter above sea level (reading from the GPS). And we were surrounded by coffee trees...you can see it everywhere...

What is Luwak Coffee (Civet Coffee)??
" Kopi luwak (Indonesian [ˈkopi ˈlu.ak]), or civet coffee, is coffee  made from the beans of coffee berries which have been eaten by the Asian Palm Civet (Paradoxurus hermaphroditus) and other related civets, then passed through its digestive tract.[1]  A civet eats the berries for their fleshy pulp. In its stomach, proteolytic enzymes seep into the beans, making shorter peptides  and more free amino acids. Passing through a civet's intestines the beans are then defecated, having kept their shape. After gathering, thorough washing, sun drying, light roasting and brewing, these beans yield an aromatic coffee with much less bitterness, widely noted as the most expensive coffee in the world." No wonder! One of our group member Dare NOT touch it at all! Haha! But for me, I don't care and honestly I like the nice aroma of the coffee!

Beside the Cafe area, there was the Souvenir Center. And I did bought some coffee back...
